When his main competitor boasted of being the “Giant of the knife”, the imposing 6’5’’ Saint-Joanis replied with characteristic humor and panache by creating the brand “Au Nain” … the dwarf! And that is how this giant of the French cutlery business was born! Four generations later, Au Nain has established its reputation with consumers around the world who demand high standards from their hand-made stainless-steel knives and utensils.
