The Old English pattern is plain in style with a rounded handle end.
It was the most commonly produced pattern during the last 30 years of the 18th century, before being superseded by the Fiddle pattern in the early 19th Century.
However, its production continued throughout the 19th and 20th centuries and is now one of the most commonly found patterns we produce.
