I am a Number Spoon. The numbers speak for themselves.
Curator’s Notes
These number spoons are a new series in Okinawa based metal artisan Mitsuhiro Konishi’s spectacular collection. They are made entirely by hand with sculptural qualities including the use of mixed metals, a hand-hammered surface and hand-punched perforations in the form of numbers. We love the irregularities in the hand hammered aged steel heads in contrast to the smooth brass handles. Holding each spoon in your hand truly allows you to enjoy the sculpted nature of the forms. Sip, serve or simply decorate with these artful pieces.
